Join us for a wonderful day of volleyball, friends, costumes, prizes, and music!!!

Your participation will help us raise money to send inner-city children to a camp designed to promote self-esteem, build confidence and encourage integrity.

100%OF YOUR REGISTRATION FEES RAISED WILL GO TO THE HAROLD ROBINSON FOUNDATION. 

 

THE DETAILS:

 

WHAT:

Beach Volleyball Tournament and Fundraiser

This tournament is a casual, fun beach volleyball tournament. There will be no referees and no antennas. The teams will self regulate. Nets, balls and lines will be provided by the tournament committee.



WHEN:

Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday, May 25, 2013. 
Time: Staggered start, 8 teams @ 9 a.m.,  8 new teams @ 10am.   
Finals @ 3:30 p.m.

 



WHERE:

The beautiful Ocean Beach Volleyball Courts, west end of Cape May Pl.


WHO:

Amateur and recreational volleyball players. Teams of four people. 16 team limit (first 16 teams to register play, so don't delay). Each team is guaranteed 3 games. 
 

Two females and two males on the court is preferred, but three of one gender is acceptable. A team may decide to play with a minimum of two players if you do not have a full team ready to play at start time, but one of those two players must be a female. Game time is forfeit time. 




GAME DETAILS: 

Rally Scoring, best of 3 sets of 21 points, must win by 2 points. Winners move to "A" bracket, losers follow "B" bracket. There will be a 1 hour time limit on 3 game sets. If time is running out , the third game will be played to 15 points.



 

HOW TO REGISTER A TEAM:

Pick a team captain to collect player fees. Team captain can then register the team by clicking on the " pay now" button at the top right of this page. You will receive a follow up confirmation email. In the email we will ask for  your team name and team skill level, beginner or intermediate.  Once you submit this information you will receive a final email with your game time and bracket information



COST:

$120 per team (EVERY DOLLAR OF REGISTRATION GOES TO CHARITY)

Cancellation policy: You must submit a written email notice of cancellation at least 72 hours before tournament play begins in order to receive a full refund. A last minute cancellation (less than 72 hours before 9 am, May 25, 2013) will be considered a forfeit of tournament play and registration fees will be considered a charitable donation submitted directly to the Harold Robinson Foundation.

COSTUMES: 

Optional... but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Players dressed in costume will receive a raffle ticket that enter them into a drawing with the chance to win great prizes.
Extra raffle tickets will be available for $1 at the event.



PRIZES:

Local vendors will be donating prizes for top teams, as well as for BEST TEAM COSTUMES!

Every child deserves an opportunity to attend a safe, nurturing and non-competitive camp environment where they will experience nature and participate in diverse recreational programs designed to strengthen confidence and independence, build character and develop leadership skills.

At Canyon Creek Sports Camp children develop these skills and benefit from experiences that will last for a lifetime.

For this reason, Shannon, Julie and Mandy have partnered together to raise funds for the Harold Robinson Foundation which provides underprivileged children the means, free of cost, to attend Canyon Creek Sports Camp.
